We stand in the rain Watching the snow melt away Waiting for the sun

Spring might be hiding For here spring lurks, slow sprouting, Beneath apple trees.
Spring sneeeeeeaks in slowly Creeping up from the South; it Pops up suddenly

Slim swift deer leaps away Peers at you from leafy cover As fierce chase occurs.
Around here, the deer Eat, glare at interlopers humans: Intruders
