You’ve been posting these for a while now: any trends or notes? Anything you want to shift, or are you generally happy?
Hrrm. Well, eating healthily definitely swings on my mood (and sometimes the only reason I write anything down is because I’m posting it here so I think I’ll keep it up) – and on Ri’s mood, if ri’s having a bad day and isn’t caring, I’m less likely to care, whereas if I’m having a bad day and ri cares, I’m more likely to care. Protein, vegs, and filling-up-ness are the tricky things. Of course, protein+veg = filling-up-ness.
What about exercise?
Mm? That’s on a pretty settled schedule, so I don’t really even need the chart to tell me what I’m doing. And because it’s on a schedule, we do it almost no matter what.
I meant are you happy with your level of exercise?
Probably actually your log for 3/11? Walkies! I must go outside and play today. 🙂 Olive oil chocolate chip cookies? Recipe, please?
Oh, yes. Yesterday’s log. Yeah, today it’s freezing rain sleet shit http://www.californiaoliveranch.com/recipes/desserts/olive-oil-chocolate-chip-cookies
Yeah, we’re supposed to get rain today and ice pellets tonight, so going out at least a bit before then is key. Fascinating. More egg and less fat than my usual recipe. Is the flavor of the olive oil apparent in the finished cookies? (I’ve made one olive oil cookie, but as it also involved cheese, I wound up thinking of it as more of a biscuit …)
There’s a little bit of olive oil taste, but it’s not bad or overwhelming. It’s almost exactly the same as my usual (tollhouse) recipe http://www.verybestbaking.com/recipes/18476/Original-NESTLE-TOLL-HOUSE-Chocolate-Chip-Cookies/detail.aspx except a little more salt, and so much less fat. It does taste a bit granular, oddly.
Oh, those are full batch quantities, aren’t they … except the chocolate chips, and the oil, both of which are short. Huh.
I never use Tollhouse’s full quantity of chips, so i didn’t check that one (I use “one handful” for a half batch)
