My name is Cal. I helped Lyn with setting up, organizing and managing this blog, and was a very good friend of hers for a long time.
Lyn has passed away. She wrote about her hospital stay earlier this year; there were further complications, and she died last night.
She was a great friend and I already miss her.
Oh no …
My deepest sympathies on your loss.
I will miss Lyn’s adventures with gardening and cats and cooking, and her storytelling, and our occasionally rambling conversations about world building, and will treasure the memory of the couple of meals we shared.
May her work continue to inspire others.
Much love and sympathy. I will miss her stories and world-building.
Her memory will be a blessing.
…I wish I’d known her better.
Oh no. Oh, no. 🙁 I’d fallen out of touch with Lyn of late, which I now regret keenly.
I am so terribly sorry. I’m not even sure what to say.
Oh no, Lyn!
I’m so sorry she’s gone, for those who knew her well, and those of us who she shared her stories with.
Sympathies.
Oh no! Condolences on everyone’s loss. She was great fun to chat to and read.
Lyn was a dear friend and a kind and wonderful person. We could talk for house. I was always amazed at how easily new worlds just sprang from her mind. I’m utterly devastated.
Oh no! I… I’m at a loss for words. 🙁
My deepest, heartfelt condolences to everyone who knew her as the wonderful person and story teller that she was.
My deepest condolences, her stories much enjoyment to many.
To at least ask the question, is there any possibility of these things being published or at least compiled. These stories (and Addergoole) have been the highlight of many tough days, and I wanted to know if such a thing would be possible. It was a terrible loss knowing she passed away.
excuse me do you know where i can read her aldergoole seires? i recently found out about it on a reddit post and all the links i found are dead? can you point me in the right direction? or is it purposely removed. i’d be sad if it is
The Addergoole website was having technical issues when she was first hospitalized and she never had the opportunity to resolve them.
Much of it is available on archive.org: https://web.archive.org/web/20200930035333/http://addergoole.com/
I intend to put the Addergoole story we cowrote on my own site at some point, but it is also on archive.org: https://web.archive.org/web/20200918203908/http://www.addergoole.com/gs/book-1-haunted/chapter-1-leofric/
