We’re this close to closing on the house, though this close seems to be a sort of half-life thing: we keep getting closer, and are still this close.
Summer is warrrrrm, but not nearly what my southerly friends are experiencing, so I won’t complain.
Mellow weekends lately; pricing appliances (the stove we want does not exist. Negotiating second choice) and watching movies (neither Green Lantern nor Transformers sucked. Could we see something that has more than that to recommend to it now?)
Knitting for family small-people went over well…
Fishies! For Baby Cousin!
And weight loss seems to be stalling on me. Rrg. OTOH, I’m getting lots and lots of walking in! 🙂
SOoooo excited about the house *bounce!*

…Please tell me those are shiny MoP buttons just whited-out from a flash. 🙂
I’m not that cool… that would have been a brilliant idea O_O
What did you think of Dutch in the Transformers?
Sort of a combination of “wtf?” and “really?”
I decided that if you were going to take the whole thing seriously, then Dutch would have to be one of the most dangerous humans in the film. Seymour wouldn’t have been able to afford to employ him for his full skill set. I’ve started reading a set of Victoriana werewolf/vampire/steampunk novels and they have the perfect team mate for Dutch in them 🙂
The Parasol Protectorate by Gail Carriger? Loved the first, plan to get along to the rest soon.
Yes. I have the first two. My bookshop wouldn’t sell me the fourth until I’ve read the third, so I’m hoping their back order will be in by the time I get there today. 🙂 Dutch and Biffy would make a wonderful team. 🙂
I utterly LOVE the humor, and it was taking the first one off the shelf and reading the first scene that made me buy it. I have no idea who Dutch is… Also, your bookshop is crazy. My bookshop will sell me the book I want if it is in stock. Here is my bookstore quote.
Her point was that book four will make no sense if you haven’t read book three. I could have bought the book, but I took her advice. I came home and read the intro summaries on the intenet and I strongly suspect that she was right. Dutch is a minor character in the Transformers movie who is really a bit over the top.
Oh, well that makes sense. But I can buy a book and wait to read it. Willpower!! Ah, I only saw the first Transformers movie.
You have more will power than me 🙂 Off to book shop now.
*grins* Bookshop!!
Yeah… Dutch is.. so very over da top.
YAY house! I want to kick things along, but will just be content to cheer from up north. W00t!! Also, the knitting is ADORABLE! I am also stalled out on weight loss, and grumpy about it. *curses her torso* I need more walking. Hurting my leg messed that project up.
Yeah, I’m walking and it’s not helping :-/ Thanks re. knitting!!
I am thinking of getting a dance game for my Wii, and also walking… Next month.
So it’s Zeno’s house-closing? Seriously, good luck!
Oh! Cute sweater vest! My mother once showed me how to do a chain stitch and I made several inches of that. I suspect I then probably got distracted by a book. Good luck on the house, hopefully Zeno and his paradox will be chased off. As for weight loss progress, I’ve been slipping on exercise and managed about -8 pounds of progress. :/
Sorry to hear it on the weight loss. Seems to be hitting everyone. I started knitting when the mother of the baby for whom this sweater was knitted got married – “shit, need heirlooms, stat.”
I’ve been tempted to take some lessons and try again by seeing cute things like this sleepy fox or this other cute fox.
aaw, foxies!!
