January’s Bingo Card!

Pick a square, and give me a prompt with that as a theme. I.e., Promises Broken, Junie and her teacher.

First prompt will get written; after that I’m going to go for a Bingo, so prompts that are within a line of the first prompt are more likely to get written.

Squares that have been prompted to will be [bolded and bracketed] (if there’s two prompts, it’ll also be italicized); squares that have been written will have a link. Please feel free to prompt any square, even those filled.

I will post at least the first BINGO.

If you tip, I will write to at least two of your prompts; I will also write you a continuation of your choice at the giraffe call rate of $1/100 Words

For every $20 received in tips, I will post another line of BINGO written.

Giraffe Call: Evildoers and Bad Guys

It’s time for a Giraffe Call!

February’s theme is Villains! Bring me all your stories about bad guys & gals, antiheroes, creeps, jerks.

Caveat for this call only: I will write no more than two prompts per character, or I might end up writing an entire call about Rozen and Baram.

Leave one or many prompts, and over the next weeks, I will write at least one story to everyone’s prompts.

(If you posted in the pre-Giraffe Bus call last week, you can post again and get two stories, or reference your earlier prompts)

Prompting is free! But Donations are always welcome.

For each $5 you donate, I will write an additional 500 words to the prompt(s) of your choice. I will also write 100 words to another one of your prompts.

Prompts can be related to one of my extant settings (See my landing page-landing page) or they can be for something completely different.

This is a “giraffe call” because the first few calls helped pay for the Giraffe Carpet in the bedroom of our new-very-old (1879) house. It being mid-winter, we are beginning to gear up for a spring of renovations.

First up: More raised beds!

$100 will pay for the wood for the next set of raised beds! (that’s about 1/4 of the total)

At $120, everyone who donated will get an additional (3rd) microfic written to their prompts. I will choose 2 more non-donaters at random to receive an additional microfic as well.

At $140, I will do an additional call about the 2 baddies of your choice.

If we get to $140, I will take suggestions for further incentives!

August Giraffe Call: Identity

It’s time for a Giraffe Call!

August’s theme is Identity!

Leave one or many prompts, and over the next weeks, I will write at least one story to everyone’s prompts.

(If you posted in the pre-Giraffe Bus call last week, you can post again and get two stories, or reference your earlier prompts)

Prompting is free! But Donations are always welcome.

For each $5 you donate, I will write an additional 500 words to the prompt(s) of your choice.

Prompts can be related to one of my extant settings (See my landing page-landing page) or they can be for something completely different.

Donations are earmarked towards our foyer right now: It’s currently stripped-down drywall. I want to make a new bench, a storage area, and a slippers-for-guests arrangement. It’s an 8×4 space; budget is $300.

If I get two new prompters or one new donator, I will write a setting piece (setting chosen by poll) explaining something about one of my universes.

At $20 in donations, I’ll order take-out!

At $40 in donations, everyone who donated will get an additional microfic written to their prompts. I will choose 1 non-donater at random to receive an additional microfic as well.

At $50, anyone who donated $7.50 or more will have a copy of “Alder by Post” mailed to them if they wish.

At $50, I will buy the hardwood boards for the front of the storage area and post my plans for such.

At $100, I’ll buy the accessories for the storage area. And post pictures!

Giraffe Call Open: A-Z

Today’s Giraffe Call Theme is based off the Blogging from A-Z Challenge.

Over the next 2 weeks, I will write one fic to prompts for each letter of the English Alphabet – one prompt per person; a second prompt for donators.

If I receive enough prompts/donations to write a prompt for each letter of the alphabet, I will write two bonus stories to non-English (real or fictional) letter themes.

Leave as many prompts as you wish. Please leave your prompts in the form of:

I will list the letters here. As one becomes “full;” i.e., 4 or more prompts, I will cross it out.

Giraffe Call Open: Swords and Sorcery!

It’s time for a Giraffe Call, fine gentlefolk!

The theme of today’s Giraffe Call is Swords and Sorcery, sword-fighters and sorceresses.

(There’ve been a lot of calls for this sort of story, lately, and I’m out of ideas)

Leave one or many prompts, and I will write (over the next month) at least one microfic (150-500 words) to each prompter (prompts may be combined)
